Our first tournament of the year starts at noon Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Teresa's Academy, 5600 Main. All belt ranks and ages are invited. You may compete in all these categories: Kata, Two-Person Kata, Weapons Kata, Hands-On Self-Defense and Kumite (sparring). There will NOT be grappling at this event. Please click tournament application for a copy you can print out yourself.
After the graduation and before the tournament, we'll give our Academy Awards and we'll also present our newest Black Belts. That's at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Teresa's Academy, 5600 Main.
12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the karate school. Please bring your support person, community service project and written paper. Our community service project this month is
first-aid supplies, which we donate to Synergy Services. The belt test fee is $30, if paid before the graduation.
9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Teresa's Academy, 5600 Main, south of the Plaza. Bring your support person. You may also need to bring sparring gear and weapons.
